This is the motto that Robert has lived by for over 30 years and that philosophy
is carriedover through his product brands, product lines and projects



Company History
Robert got his start in the Foodservice and Hospitality Industry at age 15, when he was recruited to work at Montecassino Place, the most renowned banquet hall Metro Toronto's Italian community had available to them. Encouraged by the hall's Maitre D'Hotel (Helmut Rast) to purue a career in hospitality, Robert enrolled in Italy's most prestigious Hotel School (located in Stresa, Piemonte), where he spent the next 3 years learning the finer points of dining room service and expanding his culinary horizons.
The next 30 years would see him gain both domestic and international experience in the Restaurant, Banquet and Off Premise Catering environments, interlaced with the entrepreneurial endeavours like his Carbo Club Pasta Bar, which had a devout and loyal clientele who called him Pastaman.
He followed that up with The Passionate Gourmet, a retail store and ecommerce business that specialized in Canadian products, as well as unusual culinary specialties. That spawned the wholesale distribution business that still operates in the Vancouver area.
With Lilikoi's new direction, Robert now returns to his roots as the Pastaman by producing his signature item, Pasta Pearls.
This is just the beginning of what's to come from Robert's fertile and creative mind.
